Tea with the King: Ms. Darling's Class
Today Ms. Darling's class enjoyed Tea with the King--Mr. White!
It was a very fancy affair--pinkies out and all!
Students felt proud to use their handmade tea cups.

Tea with the King: Mrs. Gilbar's Class
Mrs. Gilbar's kindergartners attended a very fancy tea with the King today.
After reading "Tea with Ruby," which is about a little girl who believes she has been invited to have tea with the Queen, our very own King--Mr. White--made his appearance.
Students were delighted to sip tea from their handmade tea cups with royalty. (Although they were a little skeptical about his paper crown.)

First and Second Grade Self-Portraits
First and second graders have been hard at work creating beautiful self-portraits. 
Students first sketched their portraits on black paper. Next, we covered the pencils lines with gel glue to make them bold (and shiny too!)
Lastly, students have been adding color with oil pastels.

PBIS Tie Dye: Volunteers Needed
Our Annual PBIS Tie Dye project is underway in art. We are looking for volunteers to help dye the shirts this week at home as well as volunteers to join us in art class next week to help students add RES themed stamps and stencils.
(I am also looking for newspaper donations!)
