Circus Art!

In collaboration with Mr. G's circus residency in P.E., students have been doing
circus related activities in art!

Kindergarten, first, and second grade students have been face painting. Each child developed a circus themed face painting plan and then either worked alone or with a friend to implement their design.

The children were incredibly kind, gentle and respectful of one and other!
The circus theme was fun. There were lots of lions, tigers, bear, clowns, and even a monster truck!

Third and fourth grade students have created these cool acrobats. Each child began by doing two figure drawings. Then, they used markers to add colorful acrobatic outfits on both sides of the figure. Lastly, they children cut out their acrobats and suspended them from a trapeze.

This was excellent practice drawing people and a lot of fun to create a piece that
can be enjoyed from any angle.

These high fliers are tumbling outside the artroom!
